Donna Parsons was born on June 24, 1966, in El Paso, Texas. A few months later, her family moved to Palmerton, PA, where she has lived ever since.

The love that Donna has for music began during her middle school years. She was very fortunate to become involved with a professional theater group, actively participating in "Annie Get Your Gun" and "Oklahoma" during her seventh grade in school. During high school, she was given a major role in the performance of "Sound of Music" and was the lead role of Dolly Levi in "Hello Dolly". It was during these early years that she realized that she truly had a gift for singing.

Many accolades during her earliest performances prompted Donna to join a talent competition in Hershey, PA, when she was only 15 years old. Her participation there resulted in her being asked to join a country group called Shorty Long and The Santa Fe Rangers. With them, she sang up to several shows a week for four years. Donna also enjoyed a similar opportunity to sing with a group called On The Road Again, with whom she sang for two years. It was during these years that Donna opened for well-known performers such as Bill Anderson, Margo Smith and Kitty Wells. After hearing her sing, Bill Anderson said to her, "when you are ready to come to Nashville, just let me know."

Having reached the tender age of 19, Donna decided it was time for a break. The following year she got married and within four years, gave birth to a son and a daughter. However, she kept on performing during this time, singing on the church choir, various church functions, and at many weddings. She was often seen singing at local festivals and benefit telethons. Even with the many distractions of raising a family, Donna never lost the urge to sing.

It was during these years that Donna was noticed for a second time. She was asked to sing on numerous occasions at Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA. She opened for groups such as the Charlie Daniels Band. She sang the national anthem for Mark Wills, Joe Nichols, and Trace Atkins. It was one special night that Donna sang the national anthem for Tony Orlando, who later said to her that "You sing like an angel. You will be a star. Remember me. I want a good seat."

Tony Orlando just might be correct. During the summer of 2003, Donna traveled to Nashville to record a five-song demo CD. She had decided that it was time to see exactly where she fits into the recording industry. The attention she had been receiving was been growing at an incredible rate, and she was extremely excited about all of her wonderful opportunities. "Music has been such a big part of my life, and I love performing and conveying life experiences through the lyrics. Connecting with an audience is such a heartfelt experience. I’m so thankful to keep living out my dream."
